![]() I’m inclined to agree with this theory, and know that guest satisfaction with Genie+ has been low by Walt Disney World’s standards. Given that, many may opt not to buy again after being burned once or twice would make sense. On busy days, the average guest only gets 3-4 Lightning Lanes–and that’s if they start booking them at or around 7 am. As for why it didn’t sell out on Tuesday–a cheaper and busier day than Monday–some readers theorized that tourists who arrived on Sunday and bought it that day or on Monday may have been dissatisfied. Our expectation is that the price jumps back to $29 this coming weekend, and potentially sells out again. It’s interesting that Genie+ sold out on Sunday and Monday, but no days since. ![]() ![]() Suffice to say, those 10/10 crowd levels are not in the rearview mirror, and won’t be until February 27, 2023. There’s also the Princess Half Marathon this upcoming weekend, and a couple of large youth sporting events at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Mardi Gras is another huge factor, and many schools are off this entire week as a result. That is not just due to the Presidents’ Day long weekend. In any case, we previously predicted that this would be the Worst Week of Winter 2023 at Walt Disney World. It’s too early to tell what the ultimate crowd level will be today, but it’s currently below 10/10. Yesterday was not quite as bad, with an average of “only” 53 minutes–which was still enough for a 10/10 crowd level. Thus far, Tuesday has been the busiest day of the holiday week with 10/10 crowd levels and an average wait time of 61 minutes. If you’re assuming both the lower price and the service not selling out are due to lower crowds following the holiday weekend, you are incorrect. It has been that price every day since, and has yet to sell out again. On Tuesday, the price of Genie+ dropped back down to $22 per person (pre-tax). On both days, Genie+ was priced at $29 per person, before tax. On Presidents’ Day, it sold out sometime between 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm EST, which was later than it sold out Sunday. In addition to selling out on Sunday, Genie+ also sold out on Monday (Presidents’ Day) at Walt Disney World. Let’s actually start with the latest on Lightning Lanes in case you’ve missed the updates in Genie+ Sells Out for First Two Times at Disney World. We now have more details & start dates to share, along with some commentary. One of those is changes to PhotoPass offerings, some of which would now be “free” to buyers of Genie+ (paid FastPass) and Annual Passholders. On our website, you can find plenty of tips and tricks to help you better plan your vacation.Last month, Disney announced 3 BIG Changes Coming to Walt Disney World to Improve Guest Experience & Value. The most important thing to do is to research. These are just a few ways to ensure you maximize your Disney trip and have little to no stress while in the parks. This method allows you to sit down and relax while experiencing Disney entertainment. One of the best ways to take a break is to watch a show like Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios, the Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom, or the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom. While relaxing, you can take in the sights and sounds of the surrounding area. Taking breaks, whether at the resort, a covered table, or on a bench, is essential because the parks can be draining, and sometimes you need to let your feet rest. It is important to remember to take breaks you don’t have to move constantly all day. Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios).Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run (Hollywood Studios).I would also recommend getting familiar with Disney Genie because this section of the app is made to help guests maximize their day for free. This app allows guests to find wait times, make dining reservations, and use Disney Genie and Genie+. Nowadays, a phone is needed for a successful trip, and the My Disney Experience App is why. I know many Disney fans go to the parks to take a break from the world, which means taking time away from their phone. If you venture too far, it might be a hassle to get to the parks and make getting to dining reservations on time difficult. If you are considering staying outside of the area, look at the Disney Good Neighbor Hotels. Staying nearby but not in Disney could help save money, and some hotels in the area do have shuttles for the parks. The buses might not always run on time, but it’s a great way to get around Disney if your group doesn’t have a car. Many perks of staying on property have started to disappear, but one perk still available is the buses.
